Intestinal is a complete dietary food for cats to support the gastrointestinal tract and can also be used as hypoallergenic food. The use of rice as a carbohydrate source makes this food highly digestible and the addition of both fermentable and non-fermentable fibres promote a healthy gastrointestinal tract.
Furthermore, the number of ingredients used is as little as possible, in order to keep the stress on the digestive tract low and minimise the risk of an allergic reaction. Intestinal dry food contains fish protein hydrolysate as animal protein source. Next to the positive effect on digestion, the hydrolysed proteins also have a very low allergenicity. The added fatty acids are able to downregulate inflammatory reactions, which is desirable in cats with an intestinal inflammation or atopy.

Product features
Hypoallergenic dietary food based on one animal protein source (fish protein hydrolysate) and one carbohydrate source (rice).
Prevents immunological reactions (food allergy) or non-immunological reactions (food intolerance) in the form of skin problems and/or digestive problems (diarrhoea, vomiting).
Changing to a hypoallergenic diet will help to slowly reduce itching. This reduces scratching, rubbing and biting, which can cause secondary skin lesions.
Addition of specially selected ingredients for the support of healthy intestines.
Application advice
It is advised to consult a veterinarian before using this diet. The recommended duration of use for Intestinal is initially 3 to 8 weeks in case of food allergy or food intolerance, 3 to 12 weeks in case of gastro-intestinal problems and at most 2 months in case of dermatitis and hair loss. After extension of prescription, Intestinal can be fed for life as a complete dietary food.
